Why not just call it ‘luck’? Because contingency is a far broader and more elegant term. Luck is not a ‘thing’ you can buy or create and you certainly cannot attract it or capture it (or chase it away). What we as humans see as ‘luck’ is really just chance circumstance playing out before us.
